Does Hexagonal Lattice Improve the Performance of QAM-FBMC?

Quadrature amplitude modulation filter-bank multicarrier (QAM-FBMC) is a promising technology for future wireless communications systems. However, the intrinsic interference observed at receiver can be source of problems. In order to overcome interference, in this paper, we propose QAM-FBMC system with hexagonal lattice structure, which call HQAM-FBMC. We also new prototype filter design, specifically HQAM-FBMC system, based on discrete prolate spheroidal sequences (DPSS). The proposed filters have been optimized reduce system. Moreover, compare and analyze performance using through bit error rate (BER).
